Our Roots
A group of women from the Lutz Land O' Lakes area were invited to meet at the Civic Center in Bullard Park in Lutz on February 25, 1960 to discuss the possibilities of organizing a Woman's Club. The club was chartered and became the GFWC Lutz/Land O' Lakes Woman's Club. The Gerber daisy was chosen as the club flower and the club colors chosen were green and white. "Serve today for a Better Tomorrow" was chosen as the club motto.
